Released in June 2025, this is the ninth release in Beam's "Little Book" series, which is an annual series of whiskeys blended by Freddie Noe, affectionately referred to as "Little Book" in a nod to his grandfather, Booker Noe. Chapter nine in the series is named "None for Granted," which Freddie says is a way of "paying homage to the founding flavors that made modern American Whiskey" — flavors like brown sweets, vanilla, caramel and oak. The blend is made up of five different whiskeys: an 11-year-old bourbon, an 8-year-old bourbon, an 8-year-old rye whiskey and two 7-year-old bourbons. The 8-year-old bourbon includes brown rice in its mashbill. Bottled at 60.9% ABV, this release has a suggested retail price of $159.99.

The nose is classic Beam and nicely oaky. Vanilla bean, traditional Beam funk, French toast, Demerara simple syrup, peanut brittle, walnut, cherry, tea, cinnamon, salted caramel.
Little Book Chapter 9 is rich on the palate with a great viscosity and a good deal of heat. Vanilla bean, caramel, big oak with lots of woodspice. Cinnamon, clove, espresso, bright cherry and a faint minerality. The heat doesn't reach the point where you need to add water — but it comes close.
The finish is long and complex. Rich sweet notes — Brown sugar, root beer, toasted marshmallow, butterscotch — are joined by oak and tannin, tea, espresso grounds, cacao, char — and a fruitier profile of plum, cherry and a light lemon curd note.
This delicious whiskey is hot but strikes some tremendous notes. It's a rock-solid batch of Little Book — decadent dark and oaky on the whole, but lighter, fruitier notes pop up around the edges, making for a layered, pleasant pour.
