Lewis 66 Straight Rye Whiskey is produced by 1797 Spirits using a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. The whiskey is bottled at 40% ABV. The brand revives a historic Ohio whiskey originally produced by Strauss, Pritz & Co. in Cincinnati during the 1880s. Before Prohibition, Lewis 66 became widely distributed and established a reputation as one of Cincinnati’s notable rye whiskey brands.
