Laphroaig The Ian Hunter Story Book 5: Enduring Spirit is a 34-year-old Islay single malt distilled in 1987 and bottled in 2023 at Laphroaig Distillery on the southern coast of Islay. It was double matured in first-fill ex-bourbon American oak barrels and Pedro Ximénez European oak hogsheads, then bottled without chill-filtration at 45.5% ABV. This is the fifth and final release in the Ian Hunter Story series, honoring the legacy of the last Johnston family member to own and manage the distillery, and retails for approximately £1,200 or more.
