  • There's a slight slickness on the bittersweet taste. The tequila has a tart acidity which keeps the sweet levels in check. Overall, the herbal and roasted pepper notes give the tequila a nice flavor to close out the finish.

  • The palate feels impossibly gentle, to the point where I had to double check this was actually at full proof. It is. A light dairy cream character lifts the body, allowing notes of milk chocolate and cinnamon to roll across the tongue.

  • A flash of lemon citrus, followed by some agave sweetness along with a bit of grassy botanical flavor ... From there, a bit of black pepper joins the party and adds some spice, and on the finish I get some more of that lemon citrus that adds just a tiny hint of sourness to the flavor profile.

  • Nose:

    Crazy rich on the nose, tons of tropical sweetness, confectioners sugar, light earthiness, a touch of slate and pleasant citrus zest. Light note of toasted sesame oil. Really enticing.

  • Taste:

    Pleasant on the palate with a moderate mouthfeel. Tropical fruits and honey up front gives way to slate, light salinity, some butter cream and a really enticing earthiness.

  • Finish:

    The finish is the star, long finish full of mango, papaya, pineapple, honey and lime zest with a hint of minerality.

  • Overall:

    Wow - LALO coming out of the gate with a really strong Blanco showing - I love this release.
