Lagavulin Sweet Peat 11 Year Old is a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky from the Islay distillery. It is aged exclusively in first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 43% ABV. Developed by master blender Dr. Stuart Morrison, the whisky shows flavors of peat smoke, salted caramel and toffee apple.

The nose is gentle, honeyed and peaty, with notes of butterscotch, saline, leather, fresh apple, grass.
Moderate mouthfeel. Smoke and brine meet ash, red grape, olive, leather, waffle cone.
The finish leads with chestnut and leather, which smoothly transitions into cracked pepper, gentle peat and plum.
A nice scotch. Perfect for peat fans but balanced enough that I think it will work well for a wider audience.
