Lagavulin 12 Year Old 'The Ink of Legends' is an Islay single malt Scotch produced at Lagavulin Distillery and bottled by Diageo as part of its annual Special Releases series. The 2023 edition is finished in Don Julio Añejo tequila casks and bottled at natural cask strength of 56.4% ABV. It retails for around $150 to $180 in the US.
On the palate, plum and punchy citrus meld with baked apple, vanilla sweetness, and minerality, making for a balanced whisky that sails away on a lengthy, spicy finish.
