  • Nose:

The nose is sweet and very classic bourbon with some prickling heat. Notes of melon, sawdust, pretzel, creamsicle, powdered-sugar-coated jelly donuts, black pepper and cinnamon.

  • Taste:

Oaky palate with notes of cherry, cinnamon, tannin, crème brûlée and orange blossom.

  • Finish:

Some heat kicks off a short to medium finish, which concludes with oak and tannin plus a bit of butterscotch, blood orange, peach juice and fluffy banana bread.

  • Overall:

This is a tasty, oaky pick from Knob Creek. Not too shabby, Eli! It's not overly complex, and it perhaps toes the line of too oaky on my palate. However, it also hits some really decadent sweet notes. Any lover of oak-forward bourbon should enjoy this a lot. If you prefer less-oaky bourbon, you're probably OK to steer clear.
