Bottled after 23 years of aging with a sherry finish of undisclosed duration, Costco's popular release once again comes to us under the Kirkland Signature house brand, bottled by Alexander Murray.
Honestly, the nose on this is beyond decadent. That’s the best part. It doesn’t go downhill insomuch as that the palate and finish are terrible, but they’re fairly lifeless and don’y carry the same wondrous complexity of the nose.

House Review
Nose:
Fudge, cocoa, some fig, honey, pear. Rich raisin bread, vanilla bean and custard. Pretty darn rich.
Taste:
Thin on the palate. Some cocoa, some honey, a bit of currant and fig. Stewed fruits. Some heat on the back palate.
Finish:
Short finish. Some sherry character here but it’s not really that captivating. Wisps away quickly.
Overall:
