Produced at the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland, this single malt scotch whisky was aged for eight years in sherry casks.

Heavy sherry on the nose with a blend of phenol and light peat. Red currant, blackberry, a light raisin character and faint nuttiness.
Rich on the palate with a good bit of smoke and tons of sherry character. Rich caramel, nutty raisin sherry character, currant and stewed fruits.
Long finish, heavy on the stewed fruits, currant, blackberry, strawberry and malt. Hint of pepper and some light sulfur.
This is quite nice and easily superior to its counterpart finished in port casks.
