Bold and sweet on the nose, there’s heavy spice to balance, as well. Rich cinnamon roll sweetness: vanilla icing, lovely cinnamon, some nutmeg and lots of sweetness and spice. Pleasant tobacco and sweetness.
Rich on the palate. A prickle of heat but tons of spice, honey, tobacco and toffee. There’s a bit less cola on this batch compared to prior batches, but I do get some of that root beer quality along with heavy vanilla bean and a touch of cocoa. A hint of orange peel — satisfying.
Long finish, a bit of heat once more, but it’s bold and rich, loaded with sweetness and spice. A pinch of orange peel, brown sugar, some root beer, light oak and a pop of pepper see this one through.
Another great batch from K.LUKE sees the profile shifting a bit, but all for the better. The fun of batched and blended products is to see how they change and how difference barrel makeups influence the overall flavor. If batches 5 and 8 were a touch too spice driven and oaky, this root beer- and orange peel-laced batch is right for you.
