J.R. Revelry Cask Strength Straight Bourbon Whiskey is sourced from LDI Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and bottled by SPEAKeasy in Nashville, Tennessee. The cask strength version uses the same grain mix as the original J.R. Revelry but is bottled at 115.2 proof without being reduced from barrel strength. It sells for around $50.
The finish is very drying, leaving behind just a bit of that lingering fruit, but it remains quite tannic and a bit too rough-and-tumble for a bottle priced at 35 bucks.
