Sweet nose that indicates to me that there's likely a good bit of sherry-aged scotch in the blend. Aromas of graham cracker, figs, raisins, honey and cinnamon waft out of the glass. The nose is pleasant but missing some
Thin to moderate mouthfeel. There's a lovely sweet tobacco note here that I'm really digging, plus oak, raisin bread, chestnut, freeze-dried raspberries and rosemary.
The finish is medium in length, concluding with oak, cane sugar, cocoa powder and a prick of ethanol.
A pleasant scotch. It won't knock your socks off, but it's tasty and extremely sippable. We don't factor pricing into our scores, so I want to note here that $20-$25 is a really impressive price point. There's no doubt Isle of Skye is one of the best bang-for-your-buck brands in the scotch whisky market.
