Isle of Raasay Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky is produced in the Islands region of Scotland and follows the distillery’s six-cask recipe. Vatted and bottled at natural cask strength, it is lightly peated, non-chill filtered and bottled at 61.6% ABV. Released in a 700ml format, only 1,140 bottles were made available for the U.S.
Delicate sherry notes on first sip, with black currant, butterscotch, ginger root, and creamy vanilla mingling with salty peat smoke, milk chocolate, and fruity layers. Takes water well, but it’s superb as a high-proof sip when consumed exactly as the distiller intended.
