  • The only thing it’s missing is that oomph, that bourbon X factor to push it up and over the line.

  • It tastes like the inside of your mouth after a good night’s sleep during which you’ve drooled on the pillow only a little. In my opinion, it is so not worth the $75 you’d have to shell out for it.

  • For most, I.W. Harper 15 Year will probably be in the “I like it” category, followed by a “it costs too much” conclusion.

  • Great medium-weight body and balance, palate repeats the nose, oaky-sweet finish; well-integrated whiskey. But my eyes pop at the price.

  • I wish the palate would have been a little more complex, and would not have left such unpleasant flavors on the finish. I do not believe that I would go out of my way to try and find this bourbon, and I know that I can definitely find better for the price point.

  • There’s heat at first, but this settles down into supple sweetness and a finish that’s surprisingly gentle for a 15 year old bourbon. Ultimately it’s quite balanced and delightful — and well worth sampling. Delightfully retro decanter, too.

  • Medium in length, there are plenty of tannins and new oak on the finish with a hint of cloves and baking spices.

  • It's not massively complex but its actually pretty well made. I like it. There's some nice balance between the sweetness and the more earthy/savory notes. Not at all over oaked.
