Hoot + Howl Armagnac Cask Bourbon

Hoot + Howl Spirits, based in Golden, Colorado, was founded by seventh-generation Coloradan Callan Deline and is led by head distiller Chris Ritenour. The distillery began in Englewood before relocating to Golden, where it operates two Golden Moon stills and a 100-gallon still brought from its original location. Its Armagnac cask bourbon, part of the initial five-spirit lineup released in May 2025, blends seven-year-old bourbon with whiskey finished for one year in ex-Armagnac casks. Production uses brandy techniques including progressive blending, slow proofing over weeks or months and controlled warehouse aging. Barrels are selected based on previous use, toast or char level and maturation potential.
