Holmes Cay bottles this rhum agricole which is made from a traditional unaged cane juice distillate from the Distillerie de Savanna of Réunion Island, France. Réunion Island is located off the coast of Madagascar and is known for it's volcanic soil and tropical climate.
This is a lot of fun, and stands out amongst other blanc rhum agricole that I've had. It's a little one-dimensional in the vegetal qualities, but it does it so well that I don't really mind. Excellent release from the Holmes Cay team.
