  • Well it’s most definitely not a bad dram. It’s almost refreshing to my taste; it has a malty and light mouthfeel. It’s one of those drams that I don’t think could ever be called complex, its more one of those that you could pour and sip and enjoy, but without really distracting you from you task at hand.

  • Highland Park 10 Viking Scars has the Highland Park character, but in a softer way. It works well as an entry-level single malt, though it tastes like a much younger whisky than a 10 year old. There are some interesting notes but, still, is not as full as you would expect it to be.

  • The consistent smoke and citrus guide the unhurried finish. This is a respectable Highland Park prequel to the complex timeless classics.

  • Average. In a good way. Very pleasant for what it is, and better than you think
