High Wire Southern Amaro is produced by High Wire Distilling in South Carolina. It features local ingredients such as Yaupon Holly, Dancy Tangerine, wild mint, Charleston black tea and gentian root, blended with neutral cane spirit made from locally grown cane.
Reminiscent of birch beer, this amaro has a brown hue and a relatively sweet, mellow molasses-like flavor, with a hefty twang of anise midpalate followed by pine and licorice on the finish.
