  • In short, fans of category pushing contemporary style gins will find a lot to like here. If you’re weary of fruit-forward Hendrick’s variations (especially Grand Cabaret or Amazonia), you’re not getting anything new here. It’s a good release, but it’s the same trick, well-executed as last time.

  • Nose:

Rainbow sherbet, ripe papaya flesh, subdued juniper, earthy angelica and pine needles.

  • Taste:

Sugar-coated pineapple leads the palate, followed by support from fellow tropical friend mango. Lime zest joins the fruit salad, too, alongside whiffs of banana and jasmine.

  • Finish:

The medium-length finish leaves me with Hendrick’s familiar notes of vegetal cucumber skin and coriander, with a perky little addition of mango ice cream.

  • Overall:

Hendrick’s Oasium pleases me, but I just don’t think I’ll dream about it like I do Flora Adora and Neptunia. If you reach towards fruity, tropical gins such as McQueen and The Violet Fog or Fid Street, this should satisfy!
