Released in September 2025, this is a limited-edition bourbon from Heaven Hill. This whiskey is a blend of bourbons aged six, eight, 14 and 32 years. The 32-year-old portion is one with great history and meaning behind it: It was drawn from the last remaining barrel distilled at the historic Old Heaven Hill Springs Distillery in 1991 by Heaven Hill Master Distiller Parker Beam, who died in 2017. The 32-year-old barrel is blended with 14-year-old, 8-year-old and 6-year-old bourbon crafted at Bernheim Distillery by Beam and other former Heaven Hill Master Distiller Denny Potter, as well as current Master Distiller Conor O’Driscoll. Uniting the work of three master distillers of such a storied brand is a very cool project, and one we're excited to check out. The bourbon is made from Heaven Hill’s traditional mashbill of 78% corn, 12% malted barley and 10% rye.

About 4,000 bottles are being released (blended from 27 barrels) each bottled at 107 proof — a nod to the original barrel entry proof used at Old Heaven Hill Springs Distillery. Suggested retail price is $225.

  • Nose:

Rich, delicate nose with lots going on. Aromas of fresh-baked pastries: blueberry-white chocolate scones, fluffy pancakes with maple syrup, plus decadent sweet cream, butterscotch. Adding some spice to the sweet profile is some cinnamon and sassafras. There's also a fruity side to the nose that presents with raspberry jam and blackberries. Other notes include leather, cappuccino and creamed corn.

  • Taste:

This bourbon delivers a lovely, creamy viscosity. The palate opens with pancake batter, custard, cinnamon, pepper, tobacco and a nice serving of oak and tannin. From there, that jammier profile the nose hinted at bursts forth in full effect, bringing cherry, raspberry and blackberry. From here, it fades into a darker, more tannic profile, with plenty of barrel char and coffee grounds, plus returning tobacco.

  • Finish:

The finish is extremely long, opening with buttercream frosting, caramel, flaky pastry and honeycrisp apples before slowly and subtly segueing into tannin and coffee grounds. This bourbon concludes with a lighter, fluffier profile or beignets covered in powdered sugar and a touch of Maraschino cherry.

  • Overall:

An opulent, spectacular blend from Heaven Hill. The flavor profile absolutely lives up to the high expectations set by the premise. This bourbon is rich, concentrated, evolving, flavorful, complex, viscous and has a killer finish that doesn't roughly jerk you around but rather slowly guides you on a beautiful ride through multiple layers. This is whiskey of the year contender level stuff.
