Released in November 2025 alongside a high-rye bourbon and rye whiskey, this bourbon is a member of Heaven Hill's Gain to Glass Specialty Barrel Series. All three 2025 releases are fully aged in Chinquapin oak, a species native to eastern and central North America. This bourbon is distilled from a mashbill of 52% corn, 35% wheat and 13% malted barley; aged six years; and bottled at 105 proof. 2024's Grain to Glass wheater had the same mashbill, which is higher in wheat content than the wheated bourbon recipe Heaven Hill is known for (Larceny's 68% corn, 20% wheat, 12% malted barley mashbill). The 2025 Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Specialty Barrel Series is an allocated release available nationally beginning in November 2025 in limited quantities. Each has a suggested retail price of $129.99 per 700-milliliter bottle.

Pleasant, buttery and sweet — praline, buttermilk, pink peppercorns, vanilla madeleines.
Moderate mouthfeel. Distinct woody spice from the chinquapin integrates well with the distillate. A big leather note and tannic bite are joined by sweet butterscotch, melting butter, cocoa powder and lemon peel.
The finish leads with fudge and espresso bean, followed by raisin, leather, cigar wrapper, a touch of olive and just a hint of banana bread right at the end.
This is a really nice expression. The Chinquapin melds pretty nicely with the soft, sweet wheated bourbon base.
