Hatozaki Omakase Rye Whisky Mizunara Cask Finish is produced at The Kaikyō Distillery. Described as Master Distiller Kimio Yonezawa’s signature expression, it is aged in new charred oak barrels and finished in Japanese mizunara oak casks.
The flavors come on a slight delay in contrast to the aromas that hit so suddenly with oak and spice. Sweet and wintergreen mint combine with vanilla around the midpalate, like a minty creme brulee.
