  • A very good soju. Incredibly smooth and easy-drinking, with enough complexity to stand apart from the watered-down vodka profile many expect. Hana Makgeolli is producing thoughtful, high-quality Korean sool in NYC.

  • Nose:

More complex on the nose than most standard green-bottle soju. Delicate fruity and floral notes lead, with chamomile, white pepper, fresh pear, and fragrant rice.

  • Taste:

A fairly clean, smooth profile with subtle notes of grape and white pepper, supported by a light grainy backbone.

  • Finish:

A somewhat short finish but leaves with some nice notes of sweet jasmine rice.

  • Overall:

A very good soju. Incredibly smooth and easy-drinking, with enough complexity to stand apart from the watered-down vodka profile many expect. Hana Makgeolli is producing thoughtful, high-quality Korean sool in NYC.
