Ginvitational Day 38! This gin is a Total Wine house brand, featuring gin distilled by an undisclosed producer and bottled by Greenhouse Gin in Texas, USA. Not a ton of info on it, at least from the bottle, so were flying blind. Lets dive on in.
There's nothing wrong here, but it doesn't really add up either. This is really sweet, and extremely fruit forward for a gin. I think its probably intended to be a mixer, but I'm not in love with it.
Overall, it’s hard to recommend this gin based on this sample. It is too sweet with the botanicals contributing a saccharine character that is overwhelming and hard to work with behind the bar.

House Review
Nose:
Very interesting. Bright, fruity, A jelly belly candy nose. Sweet, glycerin, granny smith apple. Faint cucumber. Thats about it.
Taste:
Thin on the palate. Not a ton going on. Sweet, like a green apple Jolly Rancher candy. Almost too sweet. Ethanol is nonexistant. Candy sweetness hangs on the palate.
Finish:
There isnt really one. Apple fruit ring candies, faint ethanol, then its gone.
Overall:
There's nothing wrong here, but it doesn't really add up either. This is really sweet, and extremely fruit forward for a gin. I think its probably intended to be a mixer, but I'm not in love with it.
