10 Years
Released on Sept. 9, 2025, this is a 10-year-old bourbon released by Great Jones Distilling Co., Manhattan’s first whiskey distillery since Prohibition. Hailed as "one of the only 10 year bourbons made entirely in New York," this bourbon is available exclusively at the Manhattan distillery, where it will sell for $199. It is distilled from Hudson Valley-grown corn, rye and malted barley and bottled at 105 proof.

On the nose, this bourbon is distinctly buttery, with huge butterscotch and almond butter vibes, as well as cocoa powder, charcoal and blueberry compote.
On the palate, Great Jones 10 Year Old has a truly lovely viscosity that's almost akin to melted butter. The first flavors to strike are sweet ones — butterscotch, caramel, buttercream frosting, chocolate-covered cashews. After a few seconds, some barrel char and tannin from that decade in oak creep in, followed by creamed corn and rye spice — cinnamon and pepper, mostly, plus a touch of mint.
The finish is fairly short. Rye spice from the back palate continues with cinnamon, white pepper, ginger. The spicy notes are soon joined by cornbread muffins and a bit of cherry. A light minerality hangs around for a bit.
A distinctive and tasty expression that's stronger on the nose and palate than it is on the finish. This is good but not exceptional bourbon — which is completely fine, but I wouldn't pay $199 for a bottle.
