Godawan Series 01 Indian Single Malt is made from six-row barley and distilled in copper pot stills. Aged in ex-bourbon casks and finished in botanical-conditioned casks, it matures in Rajasthan’s high temperatures, leading to a 25% angel’s share. Bottled at 46% ABV with a sherry finish, Batch 01 retails for around $79.99.
Bold, intense aromas of figs, currants, cola, Garibaldi biscuits, treacle, oak extrac- tives, and fragrant spices with a little heat, then the palate follows through with prune, fig, sultana, black cherry, licorice, pepper, brown sugar, malt, and leather. Excellent over ice.
