  • I think the nose was the best part of this - super complex and inviting. Unfortunately, the thin character of the palate and the short finish really keep it from climbing higher than a 5.

House Review
  • Nose:

    Sweet honey. Nutty sherry. Leather, tobacco, vanilla and butter cream. Faint stewed fruits. Faint sulfur.

  • Taste:

    Thin mouthfeel, faint sulfur. NO real heat. Sweet melon, faint sherry notes that are reminiscent of PX. Vanilla and butter cream are pretty prominent with a clover honey note.

  • Finish:

    Short, mildly astringent. Growing sulfur character. Some sweet cherry notes and then its gone.

  • Overall:

    I think the nose was the best part of this - super complex and inviting. Unfortunately, the thin character of the palate and the short finish really keep it from climbing higher than a 5.
