Big and rich, fruity at first giving way to savory sherry and dry tobacco.
Medium viscosity on the palate, notes of tobacco, pound cake, raisin bread, toffee and stewed fruits.
Date fruit carries through, a campaign of sherry influence with pepper and honey.
Overall, this isn't the richest of the old Glenlivets, but it nails balance once again. This dram hosts a wide stage of flavors, none of them shouting, but all of them balanced.
