Glengoyne 17 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is from the Glengoyne Distillery in Dumgoyne, Scotland. It is aged in a mix of barrels including some 1st fill ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The whisky is bottled at 43% ABV and was priced around $50-60 at time of release.
The palate entry is clean, grainy sweet, and slightly oaky; at midpalate the flavor deepens and adds notes of marzipan, nougat, candied apple and bacon fat. Concludes gracefully and balanced.
