Originally released for the travel retail market, Glenfiddich Reserve Cask is a single malt Scotch whisky produced in Speyside, Scotland. It matured in ex-sherry casks, followed by additional marrying in Glenfiddich’s Solera Vat, and is bottled at 80 proof.
The palate is even richer than the nose lets on, with lovely plum fruits, berries, cherries, and spice mingling with a sweet river of vanilla malts and wood. The finish offers more of the same.
The signature pears of 'Fiddich here are dried and sit next to moist fruitcake. Ripe and long, with toffee, a pleasant wisp of sulfur, and blackberry. An easy-going sherried style that's ideal for the beginner.
