This single cask scotch whisky from the Speyside distillery, Glendronach, was distilled in March 2003, and bottled in July 2014 after aging 11 years in Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheons. Six hundred and nine bottles were produced.

  • Nose:

    Big and rich on the nose. Full of rich sherry character. Raisin bread, toffee, fresh baked bread, toffee and blackberry reduction. Bunches of caramel, sweet and sticky toffee.

  • Taste:

    Rich on the palate. Tons of sherry pulls through. Layered and rich, the mouthfeel is heavy, viscous and decadent. Blackberry, currant, some blueberry and cranberry mix with sweet toffee, malt and loads of crème brûlée. Light oak character.

  • Finish:

    Long finish that's heavy on the sherry character, a light bit of pepper, some cream and a hint of sulfur.

  • Overall:

    This is what GlenDronach is known for: heavy sherry and great structure. It’s decadent and all dessert all day long.
