  • The finish is incredibly long and despite the 28 years of aging, still has lots of life left in it.

  • This release is well named as Glendronach is clearly digging deep in their stocks to select the casks for this release. It's a masterful blend of sherry and malt, and an easy entry into the best whiskey to cross this desk in 2022.

  • Nose:

A symphony of sweet caramel, rich nutty sweetness, stewed fruits and an incredible array of berries. Currant and cherries, blackberry and date fruit all blend together for a complex and syrupy impression on the nose.

  • Taste:

Moderate to rich viscosity on the palate. Supply and silky, this whiskey has an incredible texture. Maple, caramels, old and rich pipe tobacco meets date fruit, blackberry, currant and chocolate covered cherries. Unbelievably complex.

  • Finish:

Long finish, loaded with sherry, tobacco and a plethora of fruits. The finish carries a light spice that helps offset the formidable sweetness and savory sherry of the palate. It's a delight.

  • Overall:

This release is well named as Glendronach is clearly digging deep in their stocks to select the casks for this release. It's a masterful blend of sherry and malt, and an easy entry into the best whiskey to cross this desk in 2022.
