House Review
Nose:
Rich, pungent, sherry. Ginger, toffee, some nutty sherry character. On the snappy, spicy, savory side of the sweet sherry spectrum, rather than being a syrupy punchbowl.
Taste:
Rich on the palate. The nose is a bit of a red herring as some fruits do reveal themselves. Currant, blackberry and toffee pair well with some pepper, more ginger, decadent pound cake and opulent creme brûlée. Powerful, rich, complex.
Finish:
Long finish. Spicy, sweet, syrupy overall. Lots of caramel, honey, nutty sweetness. Grape, date, fig and some toffee.
Overall:
This is really quite nice. I love that spicy ginger candy note I get throughout.
Score:
92
