Giant Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a 95-proof offering produced in Houston, Texas, and aged in American oak barrels. Made from a mashbill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, it is bottled in small batches using barrels selected by head distiller Julian Giraldo. This 750ml release is available at Total Wine & More.
It's reminiscent of brandy, with a spiced aroma and soft, fruity palate that opens to mellow hints of almond, clove-studded orange peel, fresh apple and vanilla, fading away into gentle dried fig and golden raisin.
