Fuenteseca Reserva Extra Añejo 9 Year is produced at Tequileña in Jalisco, Mexico, under master distiller Enrique Fonseca. This tequila is made from blue weber agave and aged for nine years in a combination of barrel types and storage conditions, including varying altitudes. Bottled at 42.3% ABV.
There is less raw agave character than some might want, but it is a compelling vision of what aged tequila can be, with the delicacy and refinement of a fine Cognac. A singular masterpiece.
