Fuenteseca Extra Añejo 7 Years is a 41.7-42% ABV tequila distilled in spring 2010 using a blend of 75% double copper column still distillate and 25% alembic pot still distillate. Aged for seven years at 3,800 feet in a cool-climate subterranean barrel room, it matured in a 50/50 mix of American white oak casks previously used for California red wine and dark French oak.
Somehow manages to be both richly barrel-aged while expressing fresh green tones; perplexing, contemplative, well-executed, but most importantly decadently delicious.
