  • All told, I found this less compelling than Frey Ranch’s rack bourbon — as well as its recent single barrel offering (though your mileage will vary on those from one barrel to the next) — but still worth sampling.

  • Adding some water is recommended, and softens the spices slightly while opening up touches of red apples on the palate. The finish is medium-length and dry with lingering spices.
