  • Overall, not bad. Approachable, easy drinking and a welcome diversification to the Freeland portfolio, but that said, it's no stunner. There's frankly just too much stunning MGP on the market that demonstrates a good deal of competition, but Freeland's bourbon release is good for your cocktail bar or a neat pour when you're not looking to go all out.

  • Nose:

Sweet and creamy nose, honey, toffee, light grain notes, banana bread and some light espresso.

  • Taste:

Moderate mouthfeel but a bit hotter than I’d expect for 46% ABV. Sweet cream, light oak, some pepper, honey and light banana.

  • Finish:

Short finish, a bit harsh. Not amazing, it’s competent enough, but the rough edges peek out here and there.
