Produced in California, The Spirit of Tequila is a non-alcoholic tequila alternative made with natural flavors and functional ingredients, like B vitamins. According to the brand, it is agave-forward with smoky and vegetal notes.

Vegetal. The agave is really strong here, and there is an undercurrent of vanilla, stone fruit and coconut.
You're not going to miss the agave here -- loaded with that distinctive profile which carries through from the nose on this. There's a spicy, peppery kick that I can see working really well in a cocktail. Vanilla and oak are well-integrated, I can see this as a riff on Reposado and it's working.
That vegetal through line continues, and there's a kick of pepper, which mimics the proofy kick from tequila
Though I'm not sure I'd want to do shots of this, I can say that this would probably be a mixology-friendly alternative to tequila for folks who miss their margaritas when they're off the sauce. Nicely done.
