Four Gate Whiskey Company Batch 8, called “Tennessee Foundation,” is a 10-year-old Tennessee straight bourbon produced from five barrels. It is bottled at 56.1% ABV without chill filtering and made from a mashbill of 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley.
A rich palate offers balanced spice, banana, cherry cola, strawberries and cream, chocolate, and baking spice. The finish is smooth, with light earthiness, tobacco leaf, and fragrant oak, followed by brown sugar, coconut, chocolate, and spice at the back.
