Fósforo Tobalá is produced by mezcalero Aarón Alva Sánchez in San Nicolás Huajuapan, Puebla, using 8- to 15-year-old tobalá agave. The brand was founded by "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer.
The smoke eventually turns to tart and tropical notes, simmering with a gentle warmth into a medium-long finish of burnt sugar, agave pulp, and salted melon.
Overall this mezcal is lean and crisp, with hints of coconut, tropical fruit and tire rubber. Smoldering smokiness returns on the brisk, peppery exhale.
