Etsu Japanese Gin is produced at the Asahikawa Distillery in Hokkaido, Japan. It is made from a cane spirit base and distilled in a copper pot still. The gin contains at least eight botanicals, including juniper, yuzu, green bitter orange peel, coriander, licorice, green tea leaf, angelica root, sansho pepper and cherry blossoms.
If you don’t like juniper forward gins, you’ll really like the unique aspects of this one. I find it one of the better Japanese entries to the modern gin market.
