  • Wowzers. not quite C923 but this is packed with flavor and plenty goes to show that age isn’t everything.

  • This is a rich, almost chewy bourbon with a medium-to-heavy finish, marked by more jammy cherry flavor, hints of cocoa and sparks of spicy heat.

  • This latest ECBP bottling certainly didn’t reinvent the wheel, and honestly, that’s a fine way for Heaven Hill to round out the year as far as cask strength releases.

  • Nose:

Bold, rich, toffee, cola, root beer and loads of candied ginger. Cherries, toffee, sweet maple and loads of oak. Heavy pepper.

  • Taste:

Rich on the palate, nice concentration of oak and tannin, ginger, cherry cola, cocoa, espresso and syrupy tannin. The proof is evident, but not punishing.

  • Finish:

Long finish. Gorgeous and packed with chocolate covered cherries, cola, root beer, barrel char, tobacco and pepper. Espresso.

  • Overall:

Wowzers. not quite C923 but this is packed with flavor and plenty goes to show that age isn’t everything.
