  • Overall, this is a fast favorite of mine, demonstrating a straying profile in a delicious direction. I love that ginger, cola and root beer and find no issue with the sub-130 proof. Worthy of a backup purchase, for sure.

  • Nose:

Toffee, honey, baked apple, sweet cream and bold, expressive oak. A big scoop of caramel and pepper. Powerful and dry.

  • Taste:

Rich on the palate, loaded with cola notes, caramel, root beer candies, sweet oak, a big bite of pepper and a good deal of tannin. This reminds me of some earlier batches of ECBP with the cola and root beer notes, which is welcome and I missed them greatly. Proof feels just right, viscous on the palate. More than satisfying.

  • Finish:

Long, dry and satisfying with more cream, cocoa and root beer once again. A touch of spicy, candied ginger, light pepper and clove. Bold here again, the ethanol creeps in but blends nicely with sweet toffee for a long, satisfying, finish.
