Elena Spirits was founded in 2020 by Elena Penna Currado and Luca Currado Vietti, former members of the Vietti winery in Piedmont. They revived an 18th-century wood-fired still with the help of a master distiller to craft artisanal spirits that honor their family legacies. Elena Spirits TIM21 White Vermouth is made from Timorasso-Derthona 2021 wine, infused with local Piedmont botanicals. After cold extraction, the vermouth is blended with Timorasso wine, alcohol and sugar, then aged for 50 days in steel tanks. It is refrigerated, filtered and bottled with at 18% ABV. It hosts a suggested retail price of $50.
