El Buho Arroqueño Mezcal, the highest-proof spirit released by El Buho, is crafted in San Baltasar Guelavila, Oaxaca, using Arroqueño agave. This agave, which matures in 15-20 years, is cooked for six days in a stone oven, mashed with a horse-drawn tahona and fermented for six days in pine vats with wild yeast. The mezcal undergoes two distillations in copper stills and is aged for 24 months. Produced by Maestro Mezcalero Octavio Jimenez Monterroza.
