Edradour Barolo Cask Matured Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is produced at Edradour Distillery in Pitlochry, Perthshire, Scotland, one of the country’s smallest traditional distilleries. Distilled in April 2006, this limited edition was matured in Barolo wine hogsheads as part of the distillery’s fifth batch finished in these casks. The whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, presented in natural color and without chill filtration for a fuller flavor profile.
Caramel-forward, with some spice on the tip of the tongue. There’s some trail mix and dried citrus peel alongside dry oak. Things brighten with a drop of water.
