  • An excellent look at a balanced single cask, performing particularly well. These young Edradour are often so good, but just as equally seem to be casks bludgeoned by wine. Glad to see this is one of the stronger examples.

  • Nose:

Strong sherry notes on the nose, leaning nutty and sweet. Raisin bread, toffee, cocoa, caramel and praline for days.

  • Taste:

Moderate to thick mouth feel. Rich and syrupy. Ethanol is present and undeniable. Sweet cream, fig, black currant, cocoa, toffee and waffle cone. Sweet nougat and praline. Nutty, sweet, a bit of stewed fruits.

  • Finish:

Long finish. A bit hot, but rich and well integrated. Nice base malt character on the finish, pairs well with oak, toffee and more stewed fruits.

  • Overall:

An excellent look at a balanced single cask, performing particularly well. These young Edradour are often so good, but just as equally seem to be casks bludgeoned by wine. Glad to see this is one of the stronger examples.
