Standing as the brand's flagship offering, Edinburgh Distillery's Classic Gin is inspired by the capital of Scotland. The 43%-ABV spirit aims to evoke the city's lush parks and gothic architectural surroundings with a botanical mix featuring orange peel, mulberries, pine buds, lavender and lemongrass.
I expect the deco labeling will telegraph to drinkers that this is an ultra-modern, “progressive” gin, but the reality is that it’s old school in the best possible ways.
This is a fairly flexible gin for cocktails as the floral notes are present, but don't take over the more traditional botanicals as some new brands of gin do.

House Review
Nose:
Huge, big, bright on the nose and full of pepper, lemongrass, coriander, juniper and basil. Tons going on!
Taste:
Packed with botanicals on the palate as well, lemon, pepper, grapefruit, juniper, some coriander and lavender pop. It’s lovely, complex, there’s tons going on in a way that’s complimentary and not distracting.
Finish:
Clean, crisp, finish that leaves behind lemon and grapefruit with a hint of salinity and juniper.
Overall:
Lovely throughout, this gin is an instant classic, full of life, flavor and fun.
