Duality Double Malt from ASW Distillery in Atlanta, Georgia, is fermented from malted barley and malted rye in the same vessel, then distilled together. The process combines grain-in distillation with Scottish double copper pot distillation in a 500-gallon Vendome wash still. Cuts are made to introduce a subtle smoke element before the whiskey is matured in various charred American white oak casks. The bottle features a label designed in-house, inspired by medieval and art deco styles, and includes a Scottish Gaelic translation of a line from Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.” For this Cask Strength expression, proof varies by batch.
